Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin (2016)
Refurbishment
Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin has always been the lesser version of the ride that has been cloned at nearly every Castle Park. Because it was the first version it hasn’t enjoyed the learnings and advancements its sister versions in the other parks have.
In 2016 the Ride will close for a top to bottom overhaul of the ride. New ride vehicles will allow for a much smother ride with more control over which direction the Space Cruiser is facing. New Laser Blasters will be more accurate, have brighter lasers and vibrate when they hit a target. The show scenes will be upgrade with new figures and animatronics. New targets with different shapes and point values will be added as well as light up for double points. The projection room will be gutted and replaced with a new room filled with 3d effects and figures.
These updates will allow the original version of the Buzz Lightyear ride to live up to its counterparts around the world.
Peter Pan’s Flight (2016)
Refurbishment
The classic dark ride Peter Pan’s Flight has always been a fan favorite at any Disney park. Unfortunately the ride is still stuck in the 70’s when it was constructed.
The ride will receive a top to bottom overhaul to bring the ride into the 21st century. A brand new ride system will be constructed to replace the aging original. Current sets will receive a fresh coat of paint as well as new lighting packages to show more detail and bring these sets to life. New painted walls will be constructed to better separate the show scenes then the black curtains that currently do. New reimagined Nursery scene, and added new animatronics to the final scenes. Pulling everything together will be extensive use of projection mapping to pull all the scenes together.
The updates will bring Peter Pan’s Flight into the 21st century and back to a worthy E-ticket status in the Magic Kingdom.

Once Upon a Time will be altered from its Tokyo version to better suit Magic Kingdom as a projection show. The amount of pyro in the new show will slightly cut and show runtime will be slightly reduced to around 15 minutes. Similar to Celebrate the Magic, Once Upon a Time will feature different seasonal versions. New effects will include lasers, spotlights, flamethrowers and fountains. Castle projectors will be upgraded to the new brighter generation. Show will play 2-3 times per night.
